Apart from our menu we have a constantly changing specials board offering seasonal or special dishes. This also carries a selection of alternative Vegetarian dishes.

We also cater for food intolerances (e.g. Celiac, dairy, Lactose)
Should this be a requirment, please call to help us give you a choice of dishes, as these may be limited for 'walk in customers'

World's Wonder Homeade Pie Menu:

Good Old Fashioned Pies made the way they used to be made; full of flavour and deep filled with meat - short crust pastry top and bottom!

*Fish Pie: - Smoked & white fish with salmon & prawns all star together in a white wine sauce under buttery mash potato.   

*Rabbit & Bacon Pie: - Local rabbit with bacon served with a thick gravy.                                                                                    

Steak & red wine Pie: - Best local beef is used to give full flavour and texture to this favourite, served with deliciously thick Gravy.                                                                                         

Chicken & mushroom pie: - Local Free-Range chicken cooked to perfection with the mushrooms, in a creamy sauce, home made? Of Course                                                                                     

Minty Lamb pie: - Local lamb, tender and succulent meat in a minty sauce hidden in homemade short crust pastry.                            

Steak & kidney pie: - What can be said about this old traditional favourite that has not already been said, except ours IS tastier.                                                                              

Cottage Pie
Best local mince, cooked in a homemade stock topped with creamy mash, served with vegetables                        

**Provencal pie:- Medley of vegetables & beans in a delicious sauce covered with French bread dipped in garlic flavoured olive oil, and topped with tasty cheese

Homemade soup of the day
Finest fresh ingredients blended with cream to make a delicious tasting soup and served with a crusty roll and butter


Deep-fried Camembert 
Camembert coated in golden breadcrumbs and served with redcurrant jelly (v)

Garlic Mushrooms
Breaded mushrooms deep fried and served with salad garnish and mayonnaise

Prawn Cocktail
Responsibly sourced prawns in our own marie-rose sauce served on a bed of salad.

Nachos to Share (v)
Tortilla chips covered in melted cheese and topped with sour cream, guacamole, salsa and Jalapeño peppers.

MAIN COURSE

Rump Steak
An 8oz local rump steak, cooked just the way you like it and accompanied by mushrooms, onion rings, tomato, peas and fries. You can choose one of our homemade sauces to accompany your steak.

Gammon Steak
Local gammon steak pan-fried and served with pineapple, fried egg, onion rings, tomato, peas & fries.


Chicken Wrapped in Bacon
Succulent chicken breast stuffed with stilton cheese and wrapped in bacon.


Parsnip and Tomato Bake (v)
Medley of parsnip and tomato in a delicious sauce covered with breadcrumbs and tasty cheese served with salad or potatoes & vegetables.


Meat Lasagne
Local best minced beef layered between Italian egg pasta & topped with a creamy rich béchamel cheese sauce, served with either garlic bread & salad garnish or fries.


Salmon Steak
Fresh salmon steak with an orange & cranberry sauce.


Homemade Vegetable Lasagne (v)
Mediterranean Vegetables layered between Italian egg pasta & topped with a creamy rich béchamel Cheese sauce, served with garlic bread & salad garnish.

WORLDS WONDER FAMOUS HOMEMADE PIES

CHICKEN AND MUSHROOM, STEAK IN RED  WINE, RABBIT AND BACON, STEAK AND KIDNEY, COTTAGE AND FISH

Our pies are homemade, thick filled, shortcrust pastry top and bottom, and served with new or mash potato. (Fish and Cottage pies have our homemade mashed potato covering),  all serves with fresh local vegetables. Due to popular demand and  being homemade, our pies are  subject to availability.

DESSERTS

See our specials board for our daily homemade pudding selection. Our puddings are homemade by Kathy or Alison (our chefs) and usually include Apple or Rhubarb crumbles various cheesecakes, chocolate puddings or brownie stacks plus any seasonal desserts, served with custard, cream or Ice cream

Game Food Menu

STARTERS

Pigeon breast with barley

Pigeon breast can be a little dry but in this recipe I’ve seared the pigeon after marinating it in Madeira win, then braised slowly, served on a bed of barley pilaf

Game pate

Homemade Game pate served with salad garnish & toast

Mains

 Partridge with port and red cabbage 

This is a classic French farmhouse method of cooking partridge, wrapped in bacon then pot roasted served with sliced sausages & red cabbage

Venison Casserole with chestnuts

A mouth-watering casserole, venison marinated in red wine and juniper berries, slowly cooked with Jerusalem artichokes and winter vegetables

Wild Duck – with Madeira wine, lime & ginger 

The delicate flavor of wild duck added to the lime and ginger makes this almost oriental

Pheasant with Grapes and Kiwi Fruit

Probably the most delicious of all game birds, slowly cooked to enhance the flavor of the pheasant then the fruit is added to really send the taste buds wild.  

No need to choose – you get to have all to eat.

Game is low in cholesterol; the animals & birds are not fattened for market, or fed any additives; definitely Organic in the true sense of the word.

Vegetarian Menu

We are changing the emphasis on vegetarian options; we feel that many establishments offer a token vegetable dish or maybe two. We want to change this and provide a real choice for vegetarians, with a specific menu to satisfy this need.

We will also be supplementing our vegetarian menu with daily specials on our specials board.

Don’t worry if your partner is not a vegetarian, we will also be providing our regular menu and specials.

Traditional dish home made with fresh Courgette, peppers and onions

Vegetable Lasagne 

Our own dish made layers of vegetables, sauce and lasagne.

Vegetable Quiche (various)

Made with local fresh free range eggs, and fresh ingredients. see our specials board daily options.
